Gorkha Hamlet Resort - INTRODUCTION
Situated in the Terai belt of Nepal, This well know National Park Covers 975 sq. km . it is a famous national park for its flora and fauna. It is home for most endangered Royal Bengal tiger ,great one horned rhinoceros , leopard , gaurs as well as sloth bear ,monkeys , varieties of deer's crocodiles,butterflies and over 500 different species of colorful rear birds. This hamlet lodge is run by well-trained, experienced local guides and has the experience of many years in wildlife and your stay might support to the local people . Lodge is situated near Tharu (Tribal )village and close to the national park, provides you deluxe and standard acommodation, Restaurants serves varieties of local ,Indian and continental cuisine by friendly staff.
HOW TO GET THERE?
Gorkha hamlet is located in the sauraha tharu village, can reach taking tourist bus or private car to chitasari from Pokhara or Kathmandu, bus form other part of Nepal to Sauraha chowk and fly to Bharatpur form Kathmandu. You will see our hotel guide and they escort to the resort.
By land: depart form Kathmandu or Pokhara early in the morning for a 5 hour drive via Mugling and the Narayanghat Highway. Reach resort in the time for lunch.
By raft: leave Kathmandu or Pokhara at 7 am and enjoy breakfast in the bank of the Trisuli river before embarking. During the journey you can enjoy high and low water waves and water the surrounding scenery. At he end, vehicles will be waiting to take you our Resort.
By air: there are several flights that can take you to Bharatpur where vehicles will be waiting to take you the 15 km to Gorkha hamlet resort.
What to bring?
Torch, binoculars, sun hat, sun glasses, sun screen, insect repellent, swim wear, light shirt and T-shirt, walking shoes, and during the months of November to February (winter) sweaters and jackets for morning and evenings.
