Hotel Kaze Darbar building that houses the Hotel is a large residential building built during the Rana period. Considering the style of the building it compares to various other building constructed possibly by the same builders after the great Nepal-Bihar earthquake of 1934. Offering a restaurant that serves Japanese and Continental cuisine, Hotel Kaze Darbar, a heritage property that was built 75 years ago, is located in Kathmandu. It is 200 m from Naxal Bhagwati Temple.

Darbar Restaurant and Bar
"Darbar Restaurant & Bar" at Hotel Kaze Darbar serves a typical Nepalese set meal, Japanese, continental food and many more. Organic vegetables are used as much as possible from the garden. Organic Tea/Coffee, Homemade delicious cakes are served. Herbal Tea & Barley Tea are served as welcome drinks. Variety of Beer, Wine and Japanese Sake are served in the Darbar restaurant and Bar. This restaurant and bar is openned for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
This is their new facility in the hotel. They opened the hall last year and since then they have hosted many business meetings, seminars, trainings, and corporate events.
Their 990 sq. ft. hall is furnished with modern projector screens, wireless microphones, stage, and full backup generator. It can accommodate up to 80 people theatre style, and 35-40 people in U-shape and 0-shape styles respectively.
The venue has peaceful and secluded ambience despite its close proximity to the Kamal Pokhari.
They also do private events like birthday parties, baby showers, and small gatherings and cater snacks, breakfast and lunch services.
They do have a small souvenir shop at the Hotel lobby where you can buy local products and goods. It’s a good spot to pick up some souvenirs and gifts for your family and friends back home if you don’t have enough time to go for shopping. As you enter the lobby, you will see a wooden self on the right corner of the hall.
The shop carries a wide range of products including key rings, chocolates, tea mats, Lokta paper calendars, cotton tote bags, handmade diaries, tea, organic honey, sea salts, herbal soaps, organic coffee, organic coffee, cookies and many others indigenous products made by local craftsmen.
They want to support small local businesses and handicraft makers by promoting their products in their shop. These souvenirs are easy to carry and allow you to truly take home a piece of Nepal.
